The story
The Oregon Innovation Challenge is the University of Oregon's venture accelerator for student entrepreneurs. NX1 finished as a top 35 project and received $5,000 in funding, a significant milestone in my entrepreneurial journey - made sweeter by the fact that NX1 had applied the year before and wasn't funded. We stuck with the idea, refined the model, and came back stronger.
During the intensive 12-week program, I received invaluable mentorship from successful entrepreneurs and investors, gained access to resources and funding, and refined NX1's NIL education and marketplace model. The program provided critical support in scaling our venture and connecting us with key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.
This experience not only accelerated NX1's growth but also expanded my network and deepened my understanding of venture capital, startup operations, and strategic business development.
