NX1

NX1 is an NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) education and marketplace platform for high school and college athletes. I co-founded it with JR Quint in January 2024 from our dorm room, and we split the work across mission, product direction, and partnerships.

We built a guided NIL education program (branding, compliance, monetization), a marketplace connecting athletes with brands and local businesses, and shipped NX1 Connect to the Apple App Store, where it reached 50+ downloads. Along the way: a 12-episode podcast with athletes and industry guests, a partnership path with the University of Oregon NIL Law Clinic, 15+ advisor relationships, and $5,000 in Oregon Innovation Challenge funding as a top 35 project, after an unfunded first attempt.

Stack spanned Xcode / App Store Connect, Figma, Firebase / Google Cloud, Vercel/Netlify, and agentic AI workflows for research and in-app experiences. In 2026 I stepped away from day-to-day NX1 work to focus on GradLaunchAI and my internship at huupe.
